About Sandarbh Pustakalaya

Sandarbh Pustakalaya, Information & Public Relations Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, is a dedicated reference library and knowledge resource centre providing access to a wide range of books, reference materials and knowledge resources.

The library houses resources covering Uttar Pradesh’s history, culture, literature, society, economy, development, administration, education, science and technology, agriculture, current affairs and other important subjects, along with materials of broader national and academic relevance.

The primary objective of Sandarbh Pustakalaya is to systematically collect, preserve, organise and provide access to reliable knowledge resources for reference, research, study and informed knowledge discovery.

With the adoption of digital technologies, Sandarbh Pustakalaya is being developed as a more organised, searchable and user-friendly knowledge resource, making its collection easier to discover and access.

The library also places special emphasis on preserving and facilitating access to knowledge related to Uttar Pradesh—its history, heritage, literature, culture, people and development journey.
